Terms of service
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These terms govern your use of auraneuroband.com, your purchase of Aura products and your use of the Aura companion app. Please read them before ordering, and pay particular attention to section 3, which explains what the Aura NeuroBand is and is not designed to do.
1. About us
This website is operated by Aura NeuroBand Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16958552, with its registered office at 2 Echo Court, 1 Telegraph Avenue, London NW9 4BA. Our VAT number is GB 526 9276 60. You can contact us at auraneuroband@gmail.com.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "Aura" mean Aura NeuroBand Ltd. "You" means the person using the site or buying from us.
2. Using this website
You must be at least 18 to buy from us. You agree to give accurate information when you order or create an account, and to keep your login details secure. We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice. We do not guarantee the site will always be available or free from errors.
3. Wellness product, not a medical device
The Aura NeuroBand and app are consumer wellness products. They are designed to help you notice patterns in your own brain activity and body signals during guided sessions.
The Aura NeuroBand is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor or prevent any disease or medical condition. This includes anxiety, depression, stress disorders, sleep disorders, ADHD, dementia or any other neurological or psychological condition. Scores, colours, states and insights shown by the device or app are general wellness indicators produced by our own algorithms. They are not clinical measurements and may not be accurate for every person or situation.
Do not use Aura in place of professional medical advice, and do not delay seeking advice because of anything the device or app shows. If you are worried about your health, speak to a doctor. In an emergency, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.
Safety. Before using Aura, please read the safety information supplied with the product. In particular:
- The NeuroBand contains magnets and a vibration motor. Ask your doctor before use if you have a pacemaker, defibrillator or other implanted medical device.
- Ask your doctor before use if you have epilepsy or another neurological condition, are pregnant, or have a skin condition on the forehead or head.
- Stop using the product if you notice skin irritation, discomfort, headache or heat from the device.
- The NeuroBand is designed for adults. Do not let children use it.
- Charge only with the supplied cable. Do not open the sealed core or expose it to high heat.
Any research ambitions described on our website relate to possible future studies. They are not features of the product you are buying.
4. Placing an order
When you place an order, we will email you to confirm we have received it. That email does not mean we have accepted your order. The contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm acceptance.
We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable, we cannot deliver to your address, or there is an obvious error in the price or description. If we do, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
5. Pre-orders
Where a product is offered for pre-order, the product page and your order confirmation will show an estimated dispatch date. We will email you if that date changes. You may cancel a pre-order at any time before dispatch for a full refund. If we do not deliver within 30 days of the estimated date, you may also cancel and receive a full refund, and this does not affect your other rights.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. For orders outside the UK, import duties and taxes may apply, as explained in our Shipping Policy.
If we find an obvious pricing error after you order, we will contact you. You can then confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order.
7. Delivery
Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy. The product is your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us, or collected by you or someone you name.
8. Cancellation, returns and warranty
Your right to cancel, your rights if a product is faulty and our warranty are set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
9. The Aura app and your account
To use the NeuroBand you need the Aura companion app on a compatible iOS or Android device with Bluetooth. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app and device firmware for your own private, non-commercial use. The app is also subject to the terms of the app store you download it from.
We may release updates to the app and firmware to fix issues, improve performance or change features. Some updates may be needed for the device to keep working correctly. We will not make changes that remove the core functions you paid for without telling you.
Aura app membership. Every new NeuroBand includes 3 months of Aura app membership at no extra cost, starting when you first activate your device. After the free period, membership costs £7 per month. It renews automatically unless you cancel.
Membership is billed directly by Aura to the payment card you give us, on the same date each month. We will email you at least 7 days before your first paid month begins. You can cancel at any time in the app or by emailing auraneuroband@gmail.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month, and you will not be charged again. You may cancel within 14 days of your first paid month starting and receive a full refund of that payment. If we change the price, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app or firmware, except where the law allows.
10. Your data
The NeuroBand collects EEG, heart-rate and movement data, which are treated as health data under data protection law. How we collect, use, store and protect your data, including our use of cookies, is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We will only use your data for research, or share it with research partners, if you give separate, explicit consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your use of the product.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use the site or app to break the law, to upload harmful code, to attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access, or to interfere with other users.
12. Intellectual property
All content on the site and app, including text, images, designs, logos, software and the Aura and Aura NeuroBand names, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not use it without our written permission, except to view it for your own personal use.
13. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Our products are for domestic and private use. We are not liable to you for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
14. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as supply-chain disruption, carrier failures, strikes or extreme weather. If this happens, we will tell you and take steps to minimise the delay. If the delay is significant, you may cancel and receive a refund for products not yet delivered.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place your order applies to that order.
16. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint, please contact us at auraneuroband@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it quickly. If we cannot resolve it, we will tell you whether an alternative dispute resolution service is available.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
17. General
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest will still apply. If we delay enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later. We may transfer our rights under these terms to another organisation, and will tell you if we do. You may transfer your rights only with our written consent. No one other than you and us has rights under these terms.
